Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Mechanic

This photo was included in a magazine that supports heritage endeavours at the South Coast Restoration Society in Pimpama, Queensland, where I go usually once a week to help restore and demonstrate old style printing equipment. The old man talking to the young girl is me. I'm telling her how a Linotype works. The fellow in the blue shirt is Des Cater a printer who is also explaining how the machine works. In the back ground you can see a Heidelberg windmill press which has just been restored. We also have operational two Ludlows and a Printomatic stop cylinder press.
The other photo is of restored steam engines.
