Restored Linotype Keyboard

We certainly have some talented members on the Metal Type Forum.

Dan Williams recently sent me these photos of a Linotype keyboard he has painstakingly restored:

Dan did a terrific job on my keyboard. I took it down to him last May hopeful he could make it work. The original frame was busted, so I managed to come up with a second one and delivered it in February. I saw the picture yesterday morning and, gosh, it's still breathtaking! I can't believe how great a job Dan did. He'll deliver it to Burleson in a couple of months, and we'll see about getting my linotype to work once again.

I have some more photos to show, later.
The keyboard became a father-son project. That, and the sheer challenge encouraged us to move on.
Lets hope that the keyboard aligns with the main frame and reeds. That will make for some interesting photos, when this whole thing gets put back together.
