Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

John Cornelisse

The last two weeks of May 2016 I did spent in Spain in the beautiful city of Villalba, not far from Madrid.

The weather was nice, a table was put in the garden behind the house and printshop of Antonio and his wife Lola.

First was the composition caster stripped and cleaned, When we started, this the wheel of the machine could hardly turn around.
Quite some work and WD40 was needed to get the pump-mechanism to obey our commands. In the end it looks fine now.

After a Sunday spent in Toledo, we went on with the supercaster...When started, this machine was completely blocked.

Here an picture of me and the machine almost total stripped:

Lots of solvent were spent, to remove the solidified ricine-oil from all the parts of the machine.

At the end of the week, we could rebuilt the machine. Now it is waiting for the installation of the
electricity, the exhaust, the watercooling and the compressor.

In September we hope to start casting with them. Of course you all will be informed than right away.
