Rocla Mat Cleaning Machine Help Wanted

Timothy Fay, from Iowa, USA contacted me with the following appeal for help:

"I'm a hot metal printer in the U.S. (Midwest). Another printer gave me a "Rocla" mat cleaning machine. It was made in Germany, but I have no manual for it. The guy who gave me the machine hadn't run it either.

Wondering if you've ever seen one of these or have run one. This is one of those letterpress relics that I don't want to go extinct. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Timothy Fay, Anamosa, Iowa, U.S.

P.S. Both Don Black (dealer) and Dave Seat (lino machinist) have seen these but have no literature on them or know of one in use.



Anyone got advice for Tim, or better still an instruction manual for this machine?
