Migrating to Wordpress

As some of you may know, I am currently migrating the Metal Type website to a new platform, namely Wordpress.

The process is still in its early days. I am using the Wordpress theme "Responsive Tabs"

Here's a little update on the site migration. So far I have produced about 150 pages, I am using the WordPress twenty sixteen theme, which has a nice industrial look.

I've got to say the pages look great, on whatever screen size, you can comment on every page, using your existing Twitter, Facebook or Google login. Latest posts from the forum also feature. There are buttons for sharing any page through social media.

Looking back through the articles and photographs I've got to say that I've been very impressed with the quality and rarity of the material, most of which has been supplied by the very loyal users of this site.

The upgrade will hopefully now bring this material to a much larger audience as the search engines should now feature Metal Type more strongly as it has now become "responsive." This should also produce an increase in traffic on the Forum.

Please take a look at the site here: http://www.metaltype.co.uk/wpress and let me know what you think. Have a play around, make a few test comments, try sharing, etc.

There is still some work to do, there's a lot more pages to add, and the pages will be "categorised" at the end.

Starting on my mobile to the wordpress variant of Metaltype.co.uk

it proofed for me impossible to reach the forum.

typing the old url www.metaltype.co.uk still works, but here nothing has changed...

is there something I do not understand completely ?

Hi John, the URL for the main website is http://metaltype.co.uk/wpress
Click the link for main metal type site at the top of this page.

The URL for the Forum is http://www.metaltype.co.uk/forum
and that is linked from every page of the main site.

There is a link to the new site on all the old orange-topped pages on the top right.
