Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Hello all, again. I've another query for the hive mind. I've two issues and I'm wondering if they are even related and if anyone has some experience resolving them.

First, after thoroughly cleaning the mould blades of errant metal, I can't get them flush with the side wall. They both seem to be set back a point or more. What little step must I be missing in the reassembling? I swear the parts are all clear of particulate matter.

And I'm wondering if this setback is the root cause of my second issue. See attached photos. Type enters the channel damaged. This is 12-point btw. I spent today considering the type carrier, type pusher, etc as the culprit, but I'm not so sure. The type wasn't casting damaged type like this before I cleaned the mould & the mould blades. I use plenty of mould oil so no parts are binding. I'm just not seeing to the end of this problem. Missing something I'm certain. Any advice would be appreciated.

Turns out the mould needed some attention and the prongs on the type carrier were bent. So back to work. I see now that there's a Monotype Technical Forum; I'll post my queries there from now on.
