Stephenson Blake S1 Proof Press / Proofing Press*

Seller's description:

A small hand operated letterpress proofing press (identical to the S2 but with a smaller bed) often used for other relief process to such as linocut and woodblock.

Hand operated so comparatively safe for younger users to operate, and relatively easy to clean up as well.

This model has ink rollers which can be dropped down below the bed if not required, and it's easy to hand ink too.

In good working order but for the highest quality work you might want to get the ink rollers recovered. They're working fine for normal use.

This press can be moved using a pallet lift slid underneath, or with a site trolley and engine lift, both easy to hire so it's actually pretty easy to transport.

It's on the ground floor with level access in Plymouth, UK.
