Some interesting photos taken at the Tokyo Printing Museum.

Of particular interest are the videos of the bus ticket printing machine at the end of the sequence.

Indeed, the ticket machine appears to be of English manufacture, from the company Waterlow. It differs from German machines like the one I own. The Waterlow has a dual mechanism at the top and bottom to print on both sides, whereas on German machines the mechanism is at the top and a kind of carousel turns the paper over.

Wow! I bet that Japan hasn't felt the need to buy any British printing machinery for some years now.
