Why a major oil spill is a good thing

Australia's ABC TV has a  very amusing TV show about advertising called The Gruen Transfer. One of the segments included is The Pitch in which they invite the head of two prominent advertising agencies to produce an add to sell something completely unsellable.  Last night's add was to convince people that an serious oil spill produced by a major petrol manufacturer was a very good thing.

One of the adds features Tim Flannery.  Professor Tim Flannery is an Australian mammalogist, palaeontologist, environmental and global warming activist.
