Many moons ago when I was visiting L&M at Altrincham there was a yellow Model 78, which I was told had come from Express Newspapers in Manchester.

There is a film available on a BFI DVD which relates the move of the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo into their new building, and in the composing room some of the Linotypes were painted in a very light grey (to stop people bumping into them, no doubt!).

Quite a disturbing sight George!

It just looks like someone has gone to town with an inappropriately coloured aerosol spray!

Shame,  it looks like a nice machine

When I saw this photo I thought an "Irish intertype. It turns out it is in Potosi, Bolivia.
