Nick Howard takes us on a virtual tour of this museum, lasting an hour and a quarter.

The museum has some very rare printing presses that have been restored to a very high standard.

Typesetting machines appear at around the 39-minute mark, including a "Man-nen" typecaster - the Chinese version of the Monotype.

The Howard Iron Works Museum and Restoration facility was founded by Nick and Liana Howard to realize their dream of creating a museum of printing history focusing on machinery from 1830 to 1950. This is possibly the largest collection of hand iron presses in the world. Each piece represents a key building block in the advancement of printing processes. In this event, Nick Howard takes us on a tour of the museum and explains how various presses work and their significance in printing.
