Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Colin Ansell is looking for information on a small platen press called an "Eaglet"

Anyone come across one?

The Eaglet (which I know only from British Printer adverts) was made by Morfitts in Nottingham. It was a small treadle platen, available in 2 sizes (5 x 8 & 7 x 11), basically a clone of the Peerless
Morfitts also made a larger Eagle platen.

There is an article in the November 1971 Small Printer showing a small (and dark / arty) photo of Raymond Dixon's tiny workshop with an 8x5 Eaglet. Looks to have a full width ink duct.

It was the year I joined the BPS (my name is printed in the Welcome section!). I was 16 years old and equipment such as the Eaglet was just a dream.I read and re read the article many times!

Would absolutely love to own one now, but have never ever seen one. Is there a survivor out there somewhere?
