Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Linda Tanaka

I hope you will forgive this intrusion. I am charged with the difficult task of finding an image of a phototypsetting machine. Any of them will do - Compuwriter 11, Compugraphic, Alphatype, Varityper, or Mergenthaler (and I am sure you know more than I do about the subject!). I was squirrelling around on the net and thought I might ask if you know of any museum that might have an image for us.

Linda,

has it to be a picture of the machine being operated, or is "just the machine" enough?
What quality should it have? 300 dpi for printed reproduction or 72 dpi for web usage?

Maybe if you give this additional information, someone could help you!

Regards, Andy
