Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

listohan

There cannot be many hot metal types who haven't spent most (or all) their working life in the service of newspapers. As their number shrinks it is important to keep alive information about the production processes in that noble calling. It is an important topic rarely written about.

The Gray (sic) Lady of New York is surviving in its paper form at least for the time being.

Browsing the eResourses on the State Library of New South Wales EBSCO host database which requires a library card for access, I have stumbled across a long article in the 1 March 2015 edition of Popular Mechanics "How the New York Times works" which might interest readers.

Many magazines are available as eMagazines for loan through local libraries. You might be lucky.
