Great video from the Museum of Printing (Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA) which quickly demonstrates six different types of printing press.

QuoteMitchel Ahern prints on six different presses in under 4 minutes at the Museum of Printing, it must be some kind of record!

Six presses were used in this video:
A Vandercook #2 hand-inked proof press
A Vandercook SP15 proof press, very popular among artist letterpress printers
A treadle-operated 8"x12" old style Chandler & Price floor platen press
An Adams acorn iron hand press 1800's from about 1830
The Daughaday model 1 tabletop platen press
A Showcard sign press, used for signs in grocery and department stores

The Museum of Printing has over 20 letterpresses on display, many of which are operational, Studio presses can be used by members, once approved.
