The City of Burleson and the Burleson Heritage Foundation hosted the 20th annual Founders Day celebration in Old Town Burleson, Texas on Oct. 13, 2012. The fun included an historical costume walk from First Baptist Church to the railroad tracks followed by a "homecoming" for the linotype at the Burleson Visitors Center. There were mock gunfights, an array of arts and crafts, food, games and a carnival. Burleson, Texas, was founded on Oct. 10, 1881. Burleson was incorporated in 1912. The first Founders Day festival was in 1993. And, the City is celebrating the Centennial of its incorporation in 2012!

It's really nice to see this Linotype Model 14, painstakingly restored by Robert Griffith, now taking a well-deserved role as a tourist attraction in Burleson, Texas, USA.

Some of you may recall the restoration process was well documented on this forum at the time: The Burleson Linotype.

There's a picture of the machine on that thread, taken in 2005!
