Thai matrix frame
On my last adventures with Erich Hirsch at the Monotype (Hamburg Museum der Arbeit) he showed me this exciting matrix frame. It's pretty clear that the typeface is Thai. Matrices with overhangs are not uncommon, but how are the double matrices controlled that are centered between two rows?

Linotype part # H-2484 wanted
Does anyone out there have access to part # H-2484? Parts book describes it as Keyboard rod guide lower - says it is the same for models 5, 29, 30, 31 and 32.

Have a read of this. Check that the hole in the bottom is clear of dross.

A build up of metal on the rod is a common problem It is hard to tell from your photo, but you appear to have an aluminium sleeve on the the rod. These sleeves were introduced to prevent the problem.
