Making a Post
Making a post on the Forum is fairly straightforward, but here are a few features you may not be aware of.

Here is the posting screen:



If you wish to post a Youtube video, tweet, Instagram or Facebook post the Forum should be able to do the work for you.

Just paste the URL of the item on a line of its own, and the software should render it properly.

The button at the very right of the toolbar toggles between code view and wysiwyg view. This can be useful if you are doing a lot of formatting in your post.

If you are working on a large post, it is possible to save a draft, which will be stored for a month, and can be retrieved from this menu:



If you want to post a photo you have two/three options. If the image is already hosted somewhere on the internet you can press the image button on the toolbar and enter its URL. Small images can be added with the "Attachments and other options" dropdown menu. If the image is larger and not hosted anywhere you can click the "Add image to post" link at the bottom left of the text box, the image will be uploaded to a hosting service and put into your post.

If you wish another member of the Forum to be notified of your post, you can mention them by posting their username with an @ sign in front, and they will be alerted about the mention.

Browsing the Forum

When browsing the forum the bottom of each post has a couple of buttons you may need to use.



The thumbs-up "like" button on the left hand side needs no explanation. Like what you see? Then click the button to let the author know.

The green heart button further to the right allows you to bookmark the post, adding it to your personal collection of bookmarks, which will then be accessible from the same menu pictured above, where your draft posts also appear.

Each Board has its own RSS feed, which can be accessed with the image next to the Board Title.
