I have a few slide photographs from around 1971 which include photos of Long John Smith and Algie O’Connors brother where we have taken a boat out on Marlborough sounds. It was a great few days and we caught plenty of fish and had a few beers.]]></description>

I was beginning to think my mind was playing tricks on me, as nobody else seems to remember it!&lt;br /&gt;
The Daily Telegraph carried a picture of the equipment during their coverage at the time, but described it as portable fire-fighting equipment to deal with petrol bombs!
