\"Linotype<\/p>\n

The model 6 was specially designed for the production of work requiring a variety of type faces mixed in one and the same line, such as catalogues, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, etc.<\/p>\n

It is equipped with four main magazines and two distributors.<\/p>\n

The magazines can be used as three double units; that is to say, the first and second, second and third, or third and fourth magazines can be used together for the composition of any one line.<\/p>\n

The change from one pair of magazines to another pair is made by a lever at the right-hand side of the keyboard.<\/p>\n

The change from one magazine to the other of any pair is effected by a shift key situated on the right-hand side of the keyboard.<\/p>\n

The operator can produce all type faces and body sizes up to 18-point, and condensed 24-point, in measures from 4 to 30 pica ems, or up to 36 ems according to the build of the machine.<\/p>\n

It is fitted with the universal knife block and universal ejector. Some of these machines are fitted with automatic quadder.<\/p>\n

This model is no longer built as it is superseded by Model 50.<\/p>\n
