It was one of those days
\nthe machine began to act up,
\nth troubl somwhr in
\nth distributor mchanism,
\nnd I only begn to notice it
\nwhen my proofs cme bck
\nnd the proofreder’s red ink
\nran frm my type like blod
\nfrm a slaughtered pg,
\nlke paint frm Van Ggh’s
\nHed of A Womn,<\/i>
\nand the sharp, terrile lines
\nwounded me at my machin,
\nso that siting a the keord
\nI flt like
\na World War II fighter plot
\ngoing down with hi craft,
\nin front f me th burning lead
\nscummd ovr with dust nd
\ndross, al of it trembling
\nbcuse of a slightly-loos
\ndriv blt, and th day
\nending badly when the elevatr
\njammed and a spurt f lead
\nejaculated int the air and
\ncame down on my head lik
\nhot hot rain,
\nnd now as I get oldr
\nand baldr, the smll burn scars
\nbecme mor and mor visible,
\nremindng me of tht day
\nth machine began to act up
\nand finlly hurt me
\nhurt m bdly<\/p>\n
