The Color Printer (1892)

This superb book, aimed at artistic printers, is reproduced in full here, thanks to the Open Library.

The techniques are, of course, still relevant today. Production of the book required over 600 formes and 1.5 million impressions.

If you were able to track down a copy in an antiquarian bookshop I would imagine it would carry quite a hefty price tag.
