Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Dan Williams

The impetus has clearly been in favor of digital media now for several years. I am not sold on all of the merits of it, entirely. Newspapers and printed matter are easy to use, easy to read, easy to page through, and have a certain credential quality. On line services are not always top notch (a bit yellow and celebrity oriented if you ask me). Not much on paging through a hundred different blog sites. And if you want to save an item you have to print it out on your printer, on your dime. Is an ink jet printer really more efficient that a mass printed article?
ALso, I understand that broadcasted digital bulletins get blocked, get ignored and deleted. On the other hand, a printed circular that is mailed has a physical presence.
No doubt the internet is here to stay, but I think that news print will have  a life.
