 This video was first posted by Dave Hughes in January 2011, but was with drawn by the producers from public showing. It has now part of Linotype The Film libary.

It follows the transition from hot metal to photo composition of the NY Times. This change over did not have a great impact on the International Typographical Union as copy was still being entered by ITU members. This process is also obsolete now. The large computer disc you see at the end only stores 300mb.
