Casting Type in Japan - video

This interesting, if a little quirky, video from Japan has been posted on Youtube.

It starts off with someone printing what appears to be an image of matrices from a plate on a letterpress machine.

Things get more interesting around the 4:20 mark when we cut to another section where machines, which look similar to Monotype Casters, are seen.

I suspect that the machines may not be Monotypes. The one shown in detail appeared to have a gas-fired pot and the type came out on its side.

As always, speculation about the machines is welcome. Please post below.

Where's Theo Rehak when we need him? Looks similar to a Thompson. Same open cam arrangement on top, crucible at back, hz delivery, etc. Perhaps a Japanese design that borrowed from the US and British forms.
