Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Have you seen one of these?

DID you ever see one of these machines in use? Maybe you still have one.

The machines were much rarer than the Elrod strip caster, they were also more advanced and were able to utilise a matrix to make decorative borders.

Photographs of the machine are very scarce, are there any machines still in existence?

Let us know underneath about your sightings or experience of this rare machine.

I almost bought the one from Quaker City Type Foundry in Pennsylvania, but I was second in line for it and the person first in line eventually managed to collect it.

I'm still not sure where I would have put it nor how I would have got it there!

I have one with molds I have had for 33 years, but have never used it. It came from Morneau Typographers in Phoenix along with a sorts caster that we have used. I would consider an offer for it to go to a good home. Also a second material maker as a parts machine.

Where is the machine situated Fritz, and how much are you looking for?

I've heard conflicting stories of what happened to Quaker City Type Foundry. Anyone know for certain? - Terrence
