Monotype Type and Rule Caster Restoration

This video shows a Monotype Type & Rule Caster (sometimes called an "Orphan Annie") fitted for casting strip material.
This machine spent the better part of a year outdoors, though fortunately surrounded by Porsches and so protected from any road salt application.

I bodged a motor mount and fitted a new flat drive belt, and this is its first time in motion in a long time. Due to a generous application of preservative spray, the weather did not have time to penetrate into critical bearing surfaces and everything seems to run freely.

It still needs the pot and pump refitted, as well as the cutter/stacker section, before it can be fully operational.
