A 1979 BBC regional opt-out, narrated by Andrew Harvey, looking at the historical printing and publishing company founded by Charles Dando Purnell in 1839 in the Somerset towns of Radstock, Midsomer Norton, and Paulton. The company grew significantly in the 20th century, becoming a major producer of colour books and magazines and was a major employer in the area. The descendant of the company still operates in Somerset, at Bridgwater.
