I am currently working on an article about the British-made Linotype 794.

It was a very late model. If you have any recollections or experience of one of these machines please post on this thread.

Dave it looks very much like the American Comet Linotype

This is a photo, taken at an exhibition in Ottawa, Canada in 1960.

That's me on the left. At the time this was taken I was working for Canadian Linotype as an engineer.

It is an international group, I'm an Australian, Bob, a Linotype sales rep. in the middle is French Canadian and John, the other engineer on the right is a Dutchman
