Seller's description:

A bold and visually striking display face from one of America's premier type foundries, Gothic Outline Title No. 61 by Barnhart Brothers abd Spindler (BB&S) exemplifies the graphic power of early 20th-century typography.

This design features strong gothic (sans serif) letterforms rendered in clean outline, creating a dramatic interplay between form and negative space. The result is a highly versatile display type-capable of printing as a crisp outline, or being filled, overprinted, or combined with color for layered effects.

As part of BB&S's extensive line of title faces, No. 61 reflects the period's shift toward bold, simplified forms while retaining the expressive qualities prized in display typography.
