While trying to ID the model Linotypes being built or refurbished I ran across the following

Back in my younger days a photoengraver friend of mine used to say "What the print industry needs is a lefthanded Linotype."

I thought "Maybe this is it!"

IS THIS FOR TYPSETTING IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE THAT READS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT. MONOTYPE MADE CASTERS WITH REVERSE DELIVERY SYSEMS FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE. BUT IN THE CASE OF THE LINOTYPE THE WHOLE MACHINE WOULD NEED TO BE BUILT THE WRONG WAY AROUND
