Brilliant Super Caster Video

Andrew Dolinski of the Carpathian Type Foundry has produced this superb, detailed video of his UK-based Monotype Super Caster.

Says Andrew: "In this video I briefly show how letterpress printing type is cast on my 1940's English Monotype Super Caster. One of only a handful of such typecasting machines still being operated in the UK. This video will be followed up with a series of videos showing the casting process in more detail.

I also look forward to doing a workshop tour showing not only my type casting equipment, but also my printing presses and my home engineering equipment. All housed in a single garage."
