Johannes Fust (here: FAVST) accompanied Gutenberg from 1448 to 1455 as a lender, merchant and publisher.

Gutenberg Monument in Frankfurt, Germany. This monument, sculpted by Nicolaus Karl Eduard von der Launitz, was commissioned for the 4th secular celebration of the invention of printing and shows Gutenberg, Fust, and Schoeffer. The foundation stone was laid in 1840 and the finished monument unveiled in 1858.
