New Home Wanted for Model 8 - Southern Illinois, USA

I have recently been contacted by Tara Hulsey who represents a tiny town museum in Kinmunty, southern Illinois.

Unfortunately the museum is being liquidated and she wants to save the museum's Model 8 from the scrap heap.

Looking at the photographs, the machine appears to be in decent condition, although it hasn't been operated since the 1980s.



Anyone fancy taking on this project? I have asked Tara to have a look round to see if there are any spare magazines or matrices. The magazines on the machine have got mats in.

That is a very modern model 8. Other than the name plate it has all the aspects of a model 31 Linotype.
