Ray Loomis appears on American TV this Sunday at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

Say that is a very new version of model 8 that Mr. Loomis is operating. Definitely blue streak era, probably late forties or even early fifties. Notice the "comet-style" electric pot that definitely suggests early 1950s. I have been told that Mergenthaler produced model 8s and 14s at the same time it came out with the models 31 and 32 in the early fifties.
